It’s all a new start; new coach, new roster … a new team!

But one player from last season is back, refreshed and ready for a new season; our reining MVP, Lauren Jackson.

“It feels different, like a fresh start. Everything has completely changed,” says Jackson. “That’s why it feels different, but it’s good. I mean, I don’t feel as much pressure on the floor as I have in a long time, which is crazy, but it feels good. I trust my coaches and I trust my teammates hugely.”

In the WNBA world many are thinking of the clash of egos with so many super stars on one team. For Jackson, she has nothing but respect for her new teammates.

“I think it’s a crazy comment,” she said. “Obviously people don’t know the relationships we have off the court.

“For me, Sheryl and Yo were mentors of mine for a long time, so there’s a massive respect level that I have for them, and I know that I have that in return from them. I’m just going to do my thing, and I’m sure it’s going to be very easy.”
